At least five pairs of hands touch each piece of ceramic our studio makes before it lands on your table. They mix, cast, mold, and shape. They wax, glaze, and cradle. They sand. They run fingers across, feeling for flaws, reading the clay like braille. In our digital age, where so much happens online and so much is intangible, handmade things remind us of our humanity. We create plates, so people can create memories—gathered around a table with a meal. Connection is the studio’s North Star.
I’m writing this newsletter, 61 days into 2026, to connect and reflect. Last year was a huge growth year. (And why I’m just now able to pause and write about it.) We crammed so much into 2025. It was wonderful! But it was a lot.
Our media presence grew. Our orders increased. Our social following ballooned. Our teams got bigger. We continued our Kiln to Table dinner series—and won an award for it—then put it on indefinite hiatus. The studio was featured in Texas Monthly twice in 2025. I say this, not to brag but to be transparent: We were a little overwhelmed.
We’re grateful for people’s willingness to support us or work with us. Whether it’s a single Copita purchase, a dinner ticket, or a wholesale order—big or small—we never take anyone’s decision to trust us lightly. The studio had to learn in real-time how to handle that trust and overwhelming support. Our systems were put to the test and our timelines suffered. This year, we want to do things better.

We’re scaling back on some offerings. Kiln to Table, for example, will remain paused to allow us to narrow our focus and perform at a higher level. (Don’t worry, there will still be opportunities and ways to dine in our studio with incredible chefs.) At the end of the day, we make ceramics. In 2025, the studio produced more plates for restaurants and homes than ever before.
We’re thankful to our team for being on this ride. We all put our hearts into this work because we believe that connecting people with food, art, and each other matters.
To those reading this, thank you for letting us be human and create ceramics for your restaurants, your homes, your tables, your meals, and your moments.
Here's to a wonderful 2026,
Rosin Saez, Creative Director

Its exposed, off-white clay body is smooth yet still reminiscent of the earth, while the glossy interior nods to the bright celestial elements of the sky. We love this juxtaposition of textures.
