Wares are fired at 2300 degrees in a gas kiln. The amount of oxygen is carefully controlled to achieve a diverse range of earthy colors that enhance the hand formed textures.
Just when you think the piece is finished and ready to use, there’s one more step. The edges and bottoms of each piece are sanded to prevent sandy clay corners from scratching tabletop surfaces.
The result is a bowl designed to be used every day!
