The newly named Kugel Family Station for Omelet Excellence: L’oeuf is Love, featuring a play on the French word for “egg,” recognizes the scholarship Jeremy Kugel and his wife, Katrina, have endowed with a $50,000 gift to the University of Maryland in his mother, Judy’s, name.
UMD Research Changes Lives: Assistant Research Professor Ana Cristina Fulladolsa is the equivalent of TV's Dr. House for greenery across Maryland, taking on the toughest mysteries confounding nurseries, farmers and landscapers. Working closely with state and national agencies as well as the University of Maryland Extension, she monitors new diseases and pests, prevents outbreaks and educates the public.
