Globally, around a billion people have difficulty accessing enough food, or the energy needed to power their homes and businesses. Another 2 billion struggle with shortages of safe water. The members of the Global FEWture Alliance apply their multidisciplinary expertise to health and environmental challenges at this food-energy-water (FEW) nexus.
By accelerating the discovery and deployment of novel resistance strategies, the project aims to help safeguard wheat production against destructive fungal diseases and contribute to food security.
