It stretched me. It cost more than I planned. And what's coming because of it? Worth every single second of the wait.

Andrew Q1 stretched me.
The start of this year has been one of those seasons that asked a lot of us. It has been creative, stretching, and full of moments that reminded me what it really takes to build something with care. Before I share what is coming next, I wanted to first share a bit of what Q1 has looked like behind the scenes.

As we worked on bringing our new collection to life, we had to make adjustments with our manufacturer while using a new design technique, and that created delays in production. It was not the easiest season, but it was one that pushed us to be more thoughtful, more precise, and even more committed to getting things right.
As a designer, I have been paying attention to the conversations happening around fashion lately, and one thing feels clear. People are craving more personality in what they wear. They want pieces that feel expressive, memorable, and full of life. That really stayed with me while designing our next collection.
To me, fashion has always been about self-expression, creativity, and fun. So with this new season, I wanted to bring that feeling
back through bold colors, stronger design choices, and more elevated silhouettes.

What you may not have seen was how much care went into getting there.
This collection required multiple rounds of sampling, fittings, and quality checks to make sure every piece felt right. It slowed production, yes, but I would rather take more time than release something before it is ready. You deserve that Andrew.

As the owner of a small women-led business, it is important to me that MBM operates with integrity in every part of the process.
Sometimes that means delays to ensure the quality is where it needs to be. Sometimes that means the brand absorbs the financial strain first, so we can still create premium pieces at a fair cost to our customers.

For me, the wait only makes sense if the final result feels justified. And I really believe this will. What is coming reflects a new level of intention from us. Pieces that feel more considered, more refined, and unlike what we have done before.
This year, we are also doing something new by releasing our Spring Summer collection in two drops. Back to back. And I cannot wait for you to see how it all comes together.
Q1 may have looked quiet from the outside, but inside MBM, it was a building quarter. A refining quarter. A quarter where we tightened details, made hard calls, and stayed committed to creating something that feels special.
|
And through all of it, I just want to say thank you.
To everyone who stayed patient, kept checking in, and kept choosing MBM while the world gave you a hundred other options — thank you. From the girls trips to the self-care moments to the life-changing milestones you've invited us into, I design with you in mind. Always.
I hope what's coming reminds you exactly why you stayed.
