Dear Andy,

In the U.S., when we turn on the faucet, we know the water is safe to drink. We also have a general idea of where the water comes from — reservoirs, aquifers or a local water facility that treats the groundwater.

In contrast, many women and girls in African countries spend hours each day collecting water from stagnant ponds or shallow riverbeds, hoping it won’t make their families sick.

That is why Cross Catholic Outreach and its ministry partners are committed to providing clean, safe water to African communities in need.

Clean water does more than quench thirst! It promotes health, education and economic growth. Click on the link below to discover our process for building wells and how they change lives in Kenya, Zambia, Ghana and Malawi.
