Dear Andy,
Impoverished children who are orphaned, hungry and alone are easy targets for people with bad intentions. Nearly 28% of human trafficking victims globally are vulnerable children.
But through Christ’s love and the Catholic Church, there is hope for these precious boys and girls.
The Salesian Sisters of St. John Bosco, who run the Laura Vicuña Foundation in the Philippines, have taken on this mission of mercy. With support from U.S. Catholics, the sisters help vulnerable children and survivors of human trafficking by offering a safe home and counseling services.
Click the link below to learn how the Laura Vicuña Foundation — and the universal Catholic Church — are working to protect at-risk girls and set them on the path to healing.
P.S. Catholics here in the States can help rescue children in the Philippines and other developing countries by donating through our Christmas Catalog. You can make a difference here.
