Terms and conditions

Base miles terms and conditions

MileagePlus members can earn miles on qualifying Avis and Budget vehicle rentals as follows:

• 1,250 miles per rental for MileagePlus members with Premier® Platinum status and higher

• 1,000 miles per rental for MileagePlus Premier Silver and Premier Gold members

• 750 miles per rental for primary cardmembers of all United Chase cards

• 500 miles per rental for all other MileagePlus members

Award miles will be earned based upon member’s MileagePlus status or card membership at the time of rental car return, not at the time of booking or pickup. Methods of eligibility for earning miles cannot be combined. In the case of multiple methods of eligibility, the one method that results in the most miles earned will apply. If the number of award miles earned by a member for any rental exceeds 500 miles, the 500 base award miles will post to the member’s account first, and any miles earned in excess of 500 miles will post separately within 5 business days.

To earn miles, members must include their MileagePlus number in their vehicle rental reservation when booking through cars.united.com, united.com or other related channels. No miles will be awarded in connection with transactions made using miles as a form of payment, including for the money portion of a miles and money booking.

Members can only earn either MileagePlus miles or Avis Preferred Points for each rental. To earn miles, Avis Preferred members must specify miles as their earning preference in their Avis Preferred account profile. MileagePlus miles offer is only valid at participating Avis/Budget locations worldwide.

• The Avis savings of up to 35% off and the Budget savings of up to 30% off applies to the pay later base rate, which includes time and mileage charges only. Use AWD # A791500 and BCD # B204900 to receive this discount. Discount will vary depending on location, date, length of rental, car class and other factors. All taxes, fees (including but not limited Air Conditioning Excise Recovery Fee, Concession Recovery Fee, Vehicle License Recovery Fee, Energy Recovery Fee, Tire Management Fee, and Frequent Traveler Fee), surcharges (including but not limited to Customer Facility Charge and Environmental Fee Recovery Charge), and optional service charges are extra.

• Offer may not be used with any other coupon, promotion or offer except your Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number or Budget Customer Discount (BCD) number.

• Offer is subject to vehicle availability at the time of rental and may not be available on some rates at some times, including some online rates at Avis.com and Budget.com.

• Car rental return restrictions may apply.

• Offer subject to change without notice.

• A Frequent Traveler Program Surcharge or Excise Tax may be applied and will be assessed in connection with miles earned pursuant to a reservation. For rentals in the United States, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. Croix and Canada, when the renter chooses to receive frequent flyer miles, Avis and Budget will assess a frequent flyer surcharge equivalent to USD $1.50 per day. The amount assessed is collected by Avis and Budget to offset a portion of Avis' and Budget’s annual cost of participation in frequent flyer programs.

• Renter must meet Avis and Budget age, driver and credit requirements. Minimum rental age may vary by location. An additional daily surcharge may apply for renters under 25 years old

Bonus miles offer terms and conditions

Avis Bonus Terms & Conditions:

• All base miles terms and conditions apply

• Rental must be completed between December 31, 2025, and February 28, 2026.

• Complete a qualifying rental of 3-4 consecutive days to earn 750 United MileagePlus bonus miles. Complete a qualifying rental of 5 or more consecutive days to earn 1,000 bonus miles. A maximum of 1,000 bonus miles per rental may be earned.

• United MileagePlus bonus miles offer is only valid at participating Avis airport and off-airport locations in the US, Canada, Mexico and EMEA.

• Eligible rentals indicated in mileage display in search results.

• No bonus miles will be awarded in connection with transactions made using miles as a form of payment, including for the money portion of a miles and money booking

• An advance reservation is required.

• Bonus miles offer may not be used with any other coupon, promotion or offer except your AWD discount.

• Coupon code MUAA187 and AWD #s A791500/ A791502 must be used to earn the 750 or 1,000 bonus miles.

Budget Bonus Terms & Conditions:

• All base miles terms and conditions apply

• Rental must be completed between December 31, 2025, and February 28, 2026.

• Complete a qualifying rental of 3-4 consecutive days to earn 750 United MileagePlus bonus miles. Complete a qualifying rental of 5 or more consecutive days to earn 1,000 bonus miles. A maximum of 1,000 bonus miles per rental may be earned.

• United MileagePlus bonus miles are only valid at participating Budget airport and off-airport locations in the US, Canada and EMEA.

• Eligible rentals indicated in mileage display in search results.

• No bonus miles will be awarded in connection with transactions made using miles as a form of payment, including for the money portion of a miles and money booking

• An advance reservation is required.

• Bonus miles offer may not be used with any other coupon, promotion or offer except your BCD discount.

• Coupon code MUAZ187 and BCD #s B204900/ B204902 must be used to earn the 750 or 1,000 bonus miles.

Miles accrued, awards, and benefits issued are subject to change and are subject to the rules of the United MileagePlus® program, including without limitation the Premier® program (the "MileagePlus Program"), which are expressly incorporated herein.
