Summertime has been nothing short of madness, in the best possible way. Yours too? (for those living here in the northern hemisphere)

Weekend getaways, evening ocean swims and last weekend, Oscar’s 3rd birthday! Time literally moves at the speed of light in the summer.

Japan

On top of all this, we’ve been busily planning for our imminent Japan adventure! Five weeks of touring the country, with Oscar in tow. We can’t wait. After six years I am so excited to revisit favourite spots and discover new places less travelled. After a week in Osaka (to see the World Expo), and a week in Kyoto, we rent a car and take a two week roadtrip along the southern coast of Honshu to Hagi, a small town famous for its pottery. There are a few studios there on my list to visit. From there we travel along the north San’In Coast, past epic sand dunes, back to Kyoto. The last week will be spent in Tokyo soaking up all we can, which will be a fraction of what the city has to offer!

I’ll be uploading our travels, including anything ceramics related, to my Instagram stories to bring you along on the adventure.
