I can hardly believe it; the final home match of the 2025 regular season is here. Weren’t we just wearing mittens and coats while we watched the Black and Blue take down Montréal? Wasn’t it just snowing outside? Is this talk of snow stressing you out now that we’re at the beginning of fall? Sorry, I’ll stop spiraling now.

It’s time to cheer the lads on one last time this regular season, with your Loons set to host SKC in their last hurrah at Allianz Field before the playoffs begin. And, as we’ve made a habit of, the club wants to use this game as a way to cheer for you. That’s right; we’re cheering for you , the best fans in the league. Through the ups and downs, through the hype and the disappointment, you’ve stood by our side. This weekend is our Fan Appreciation night, and we’ll have plenty going on at Lawn Layover, giveaways, and one last raucous regular-season atmosphere to show the rest of the league what we already know is true:

Our friendly rivals have struggled this season, fighting only to avoid the Wooden Spoon in the last few weeks. They aren’t completely without threat, though, as striker Dejan Joveljić has fired home 18 goals this year and former Loon Mason Toye has been deputizing up front. It’s always a tough battle when these clubs clash, so it’s safe to say you can expect an exciting match. Your Loons are still within touching distance of the Western Conference’s top spot, and while a win would keep them in that race, a single point this weekend would secure a top-four finish, giving them hosting priority in the first round of the playoffs.
