We may have come to the end, but trust me, this is only the beginning. Your Loons are set to finish the 2025 regular season with one last matchup against the LA Galaxy standing between them and what everyone is hoping will be a deep playoff run. Maybe with something shiny to top it all off. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, alright?
With the full squad back from international duty and a week of rest under the belts of everyone who stuck around the Twin Cities, the Black and Blue should be primed and ready to exorcise the demons of their last visit to Dignity Health Sports Park. With the Galaxy already eliminated from postseason contention, we know that this will be their final game of 2025, flipping the script from last season’s Western Conference Semifinal.
Ironic? Yes, quite. Poetic? Certainly! A chance to rub it in? We’d never.
If results go their way, MNUFC could finish as high as second in the conference this weekend. No matter what happens, they won’t finish any lower than fourth, meaning home-field advantage is secured for the first round. Saturday’s match is all about putting together a good performance and gaining some good momentum ahead of this postseason.
Don’t miss any of the action in the regular-season finale, with streaming available on MLS Season Pass starting at 8:00 p.m. CT. I recommend watching with as many people as possible, though; now’s the time for you to start warming up your postseason supporter muscles! We’ve added locations all over the Twin Cities to our Watch Spots program for the postseason, meaning the game is likely playing at a bar near you. The
official watch party will be at Alary’s Bar and Barbeque beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT; we’ll see you there!
