With a two-month break for some small tournament looming (you ever heard of the FIFA World Cup?), your Loons are set for one final showdown before pressing pause. The final challenge? A high-flying RSL side that has attacking threats in spades. They’ve built up a little head of steam, and will be looking to spoil the Loons’ sendoff match. I know — awfully rude of them, right? 

That said, we’re in luck; these guys are probably going to be overwhelmed by the quantity and concentration of lakes here in the North Star State. I mean, it’s gotta be quite the shock to go from one super salty body of water to thousands of lovely little ones, right?

Whether the players are thrown by our state’s fantastic freshwater frequency or not remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: The attacking talents of RSL’s Diego Luna and Zavier Gozo will be on full display, testing the sturdy resistance of MNUFC’s back line. The return of club captain Michael Boxall, paired with the emergence of Morris Duggan, makes this potentially the most intriguing matchup of the night, so get ready to fall in love with defense all over again (as you should). 

This Saturday’s match is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. CT, with streaming available via Apple TV if you can’t make it out to Allianz Field. But if you don’t come to the stadium, you won’t get to enjoy $2 hot dogs, and that feels like doing yourself a disservice. My recommendation? Get on out there; you won’t have another chance to see your Loons live until MLS resumes play on July 22, and you may never get a better deal on hot dogs again. We're already opening standing room only spots, so act fast before the place is completely full and you're left out of the great hot dog extravaganza.
