Spring is almost here, and it's time to spring forward - don't forget to reset your clocks this weekend!

As the days get longer, and hopefully warmer, it's the perfect time to refresh, refocus, and take action for animals in need. Here at North Shore Animal League America, March is full of inspiring ways for you to spring into action and make a difference.

March began at our Port Washington, NY campus as we welcomed a very special group of new arrivals — over 50 puppies, including a litter of 9 along with their extraordinary mom, Mama Mia. Their journey to safety was made possible thanks to the remarkable teamwork and compassion of our rescue partners Paws 4 Life and That Crazy Dog Lady.

Do you know the difference between a stray cat and a feral cat? Do you have “community cats” in your area that you’d like to help but just don’t know where to start? Our Community Outreach Program is designed to provide education to the public on how to help these cats live long and healthy lives, while at the same time reducing the population through TNVR and adoption of ‘friendlies.’ If you're going to be near our Port Washington, NY campus next week, join us Saturday, March 14, or Sunday, March 15, for a free open house where you can learn all you need to know and more!

Tour For Life is getting ready to hit the road as the world’s largest mobile cooperative lifesaving pet adoption event! Our Mobile Adoption Units will be visiting 66 cities and towns in 38 states to help our shelter partners across the country host adoption events that bring their animals center stage in their communities and find them loving, responsible homes. Join us on the road at a tour stop near you where you can find your new best friend!
