Happy start of summer—or as we like to call it, the start of the Nuun Year! Try our tips to stay safe & hydrated as you ramp up your warm-weather training routine.
Don’t get sidelined by strains and sprains this summer. We have suggestions for preventing common training injuries:
Training too hard, too soon, can lead to painful overuse injuries. Give your body plenty of time to adjust to your favorite warm-weather activities.1
Warm Up.
Running on cold muscles is a no-go. To prevent strains and other injuries, aim for at least five minutes of brisk walking before switching to a higher gear.2
Hydrate Before, During & After Workouts.
Hydration supports athletic performance, injury prevention and recovery.3 Don’t forget electrolytes to replace those lost when you sweat!
Improve Your Form.
Improper technique is a common cause of sports injuries, so consider working with a trainer to get you on the right track.2
Don’t Skip Rest Days.
We know you’re eager to keep muuving, but recovery time is as important as your workouts and can help prevent future injuries.2
