Inspired by the intricate patterns found on waka (canoe), the Māori All Blacks 2025 jersey (Te Tauihu Matua) embodies balance, unity, leadership and dedication.
Woven into the fabric of the team, these values empower players to work together with the strength of many. Just like the Māori warriors paddling a waka.
The jersey was designed by Kahurangi Falaoa (Ngāti Tūwharetoa), a contemporary Māori artist, tā moko (tattooing) practitioner, haka composer, rugby coach, whakairo (carving) student, and inspirational educator. Watch below as Kahurangi reveals the jersey and shares the story behind its creation.
