Women's Golf Punches Ticket to NCAA Championships |
The No. 14 women's golf team punched its ticket to the NCAA Championships with a third place finish in the Columbus Regional at The Ohio State University Golf Club's Scarlet Course. The Buckeyes delivered a strong performance in the final round, firing a five-under 283 to close with a 54-hole team score of 865 (+1). Faith Choi led the charge with a four-under 68, jumping 15 spots up the leaderboard to finish tied for sixth with fellow Buckeye, Nellie Ong. Kary Hollenbaugh added a two-under 70 in the final round to tie for 10th overall, helping solidify the team’s third place finish. Ohio State ranked among the top in key stats, including third in pars (172) and par 3 scoring (-5) and fourth in birdies (41).
Up next, Ohio State will travel to Carlsbad, Calif., to compete in the 30-team NCAA Championship field from May 16-21 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa. |

Baseball Comes Away with Win at Northwestern |
Powered by four home runs, the baseball team picked up an 11-6 road victory on Saturday afternoon against Northwestern. Mason Eckelman and Ryan Miller each homered in the first inning to spark an early 4-0 lead while Maddix Simpson and Matthew Graveline added a pair of long balls in the sixth inning. Hunter Shaw picked up the win after holding the Wildcats scoreless in the final two frames. Ohio State returns to Bill Davis Stadium this weekend for its final series against Illinois.

| | Five Buckeyes Named USA Lacrosse All-Americans
|
Five members of the men's lacrosse team earned All-America honors, capping one of the best seasons in program history. Caleb Fyock and Bobby Van Buren were named to the first team with Fyock leading the nation in save percentage (.620) and Van Buren anchoring one of the nation’s top defenses. Honorable mentions went to Greg Langermeier, Cullen Brown, who set a program record 33 caused turnovers, and Alex Marinier, the Big Ten's top scorer.

Sherman & Torres Earn All-America Honors |
The women's lacrosse team had two USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American selections in defender Lilli Sherman and goalie Jocelyn Torres. Sherman, a team captain and Second Team All-Big Ten honoree, led the Buckeyes in caused turnovers (24) and ranked second in ground balls (25). Torres ranked seventh nationally in save percentage (.496) and posted eight double-digit save games. The duo helped Ohio State rank 13th nationally in scoring defense.

| Track & Field Set to Compete in the B1G Outdoor Championships |
The men's and women's track and field teams are set to compete in the Big Ten Outdoor Track & Field Championships this Friday through Sunday in Eugene, Ore. The Buckeyes are coming off a strong performance at the annual Jesse Owens Classic where the teams picked up three event titles in the women's shot put, men's discus and men's 800m in addition to breaking seven personal records. | Rowing Heads to Indy for B1G Championships |
The No. 17 rowing team will head to Indianapolis this weekend to race in the 2025 Big Ten Rowing Championships at the Indianapolis Rowing Center. With 10 team and 52 individual boat titles, the Buckeyes will aim to improve upon on their fourth place finish last year. With the addition of USC, UCLA and Washington, the championship event will feature 11 teams and has expanded to two days with heats starting Saturday and finals on Sunday. Softball Opens NCAA Tournament at Knoxville Regional
|
On the heels of a dominant 43-win regular season, the No. 22 softball team is headed to the NCAA Tournament as the No. 2 seed in the Knoxville Regional. The Buckeyes will face the No. 3 seed North Carolina Tar Heels in their opening game on Friday at 4 p.m. Led by first-year head coach Kirin Kumar, Ohio State boasts one of the most explosive offenses in the country, leading the nation in home runs (137), slugging percentage (.707), runs scored (473), runs batted in (450), runs per game (8.45) and walks (268). Sophomore catcher Jasmyn Burns comes into the weekend with 23 home runs, 70 RBIs and a .467 batting average, while freshman pitcher Lorin Boutte leads the Buckeyes' pitching staff with 19 wins on the year.
