Women's Soccer & Volleyball Host Block Party Ahead of Sunday Doubleheader

The women's volleyball team is back in action at the Covelli Center this weekend for the Sports Imports Classic as the Buckeyes take on the Virginia Cavaliers and the Troy Trojans while the No. 22 women's soccer team returns to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium for a pair of matches against Wisconsin and Nebraska.

Be sure to stop by the Buckeye Block Party (weather permitting) on Sunday before you head to the women's soccer and women's volleyball doubleheader! Located on Irving Schottenstein Drive between Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and the Covelli Center, the Buckeye Block Party is open to all fans and will include a variety of different activities including a live DJ, food trucks, face painting, balloon twisting, a caricature artist, inflatable games and more! The Block Party will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

No. 1 Football Defeats Bobcats 37-9, Heads into Bye Week

The No. 1 Buckeyes picked up their third win of the season defeating the Ohio Bobcats 37-9 Saturday night under the lights of Ohio Stadium. Julian Sayin led the way for Ohio State's offense, completing 25-of-32 passes for 347 yards and three touchdowns through the air, connecting with eight different receivers. Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate set the tone for Zone 6 as the pair combined for 254 receiving yards, 25 rushing yards and three trips to the end zone. For the third consecutive game, the Buckeye defense held its opponent to single digits with linebacker Arvell Reese leading the Silver Bullets with seven tackles.

The Scarlet and Gray will enjoy a bye week this week before opening Big Ten play on the road in Seattle against the Washington Huskies on Saturday, Sept. 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
