Women's Volleyball Earns Five Set Win Against Troy, Hosts UCLA & USC for Weekend Matchups 

The VolleyBucks capped off last weekend's Sports Imports Classic with a five set win (22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 30-32, 15-12) over Troy on Sunday at the Covelli Center. The Buckeyes recorded 26 blocks on the day marking the second most in program history with middle blocker Kaia Castle setting a single match record tallying 15 of the 26 blocks. Ohio State's offense came out swinging as well with outside hitters Hannah Jones (26) and Reese Wuebker (18) having double-digit kill performances.

The Scarlet and Gray are back in action at the Covelli Center this weekend for a pair of west coast matchups to open Big Ten play, hosting UCLA on Friday at 6 p.m. and No. 17 USC on Saturday at 7 p.m. Both matches will be streamed on B1G+.

No. 1 Football Heads West for First Road Game Against Washington

The Buckeyes are back in action following the bye week and are set to take on unbeaten Washington (3-0) on Saturday afternoon at Husky Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 pm ET (12:30 p.m. PT). The Buckeyes will head into Saturday's matchup with quarterback Julian Sayin completing 78.9% of his passes and eight touchdowns through three games and wide receiver Jeremiah Smith just four catches away from becoming the fastest Buckeye to 100 career receptions. On defense, the Silver Bullets led by safety Caleb Downs and linebackers Sonny Styles and Arvell Reese will look to keep their opponents to single-digit scoring for the fourth consecutive game after holding Texas to seven, Grambling State to zero and Ohio to nine.

Saturday's matchup marks the Big Ten opener for both teams and Ohio State's first trip to Husky Stadium since 2007. Head coach Ryan Day is 23-3 in true road games as the Buckeyes will look to snap the Huskies' 22 home game winning steak, the longest active mark in college football.
