Head coach Ryan Day and the No. 1 Buckeyes improved their record to 8-0 following Saturday's 38-14 win over Penn State. Julian Sayin recorded his fifth 300+ passing yard performance of the season, completing 20 of his 23 attempts for 316 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Carnell Tate led the Buckeye receiving corps with 124 yards and one score on five receptions while Jeremiah Smith pitched in another 123 yards and two scores on six receptions. On defense, the Silver Bullets recorded seven tackles-for-loss, four sacks and an interception, with Arvell Reese leading the defense with 12 total tackles.
This Saturday, the Scarlet and Gray will hit the road and head to West Lafayette, Ind., for a 1 p.m. kickoff against Purdue (2-7). Buckeye fans can tune into Big Ten Network for Saturday's game against the Boilermakers. |
