The No. 2 wrestling team closed out its non-conference slate on Sunday afternoon in dominant fashion, rolling past Oregon State 41-3 at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Ore., to improve to 11-0 on the season. The Buckeyes jumped out to an early 24-0 lead through five bouts including a pair of technical falls by Nic Bouzakis (125) and Ben Davino (133) in addition to a 55 second pin by Brandon Cannon (157) in the first period. The Scarlet and Gray went on to win four of the five remaining bouts, allowing just one takedown throughout the entire dual.
Up next, the No. 2 Buckeyes will turn their attention to Big Ten action as they open conference play this weekend (Sunday, Jan. 11) against No. 23 Indiana at the Covelli Center. Sunday's action against the Hoosiers is set for 1 p.m. |
