No. 19 Women's Basketball Knocks Off No. 8 Maryland on the Road, 89-76

The No. 19 women's basketball team earned its first top 10 win of the season, defeating No. 8 Maryland on the road by an 89-76 margin in order to improve its overall record to 15-2 and a 5-1 record in Big Ten play. Sophomore guard Jaloni Cambridge led the way for the Buckeyes with yet another dominant performance, recording 28 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Freshman forward Kylee Kitts matched her career high of 18 points while Kennedy Cambridge and Chance Gray joined J. Cambridge and Kitts in double figures with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Ohio State's defensive effort led to 17 Terrapin turnovers in addition to limiting Maryland to just four field goals in the third quarter in order to seal the team's marquee conference win on the road.

The newly ranked No. 14 Buckeyes are back in action at the Schottenstein Center tonight when the Penn State Nittany Lions (7-10) visit Columbus for a 6:30 p.m. tipoff. Tonight's matchup against the Nittany Lions will be streamed on B1G+.

Men's Hoops Downs Ducks on the Road, Hosts UCLA Saturday at the Schott

The men's basketball team hit the road for a trip to the west coast where the Buckeyes downed the Oregon Ducks on Thursday night at Matthew Knight Arena by a score of 72-62. Ohio State led 34-29 heading into halftime before going on a decisive 21-0 run, holding the Ducks scoreless for more than five minutes. All five of the Buckeyes' starters scored in double figures, led by junior forward Devin Royal and senior center Christoph Tilly with 14 points each. Bruce Thornton added 12 points of his own, moving him to seventh on Ohio State's all-time scoring list with 1,787 career points.

Up next, the Buckeyes will host a pair of home games at the Schottenstein Center with the action getting started on Saturday when Ohio State hosts the UCLA Bruins (11-5) at 1 p.m. followed by a Tuesday night matchup against the Minnesota Golden Gophers (10-7) at 6:30 p.m.
