Buckeyes are Dancing!

Men's & Women's Basketball Set to Open NCAA Tournament Action

The brackets are set and both Buckeye basketball teams are dancing to the 2026 NCAA Tournament! Head coach Jake Diebler and the men's basketball team will make the program's 32nd tournament appearance this season after securing the No. 8-seed in the East Region. The Buckeyes will tip off the first round action tomorrow afternoon against the No. 9-seed TCU Horned Frogs at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C. This will be the fifth overall meeting between the Buckeyes and the Horned Frogs with Ohio State holding a 4-0 record in the series. Tomorrow's game is set for a 12:15 p.m. ET tip and will be broadcast on CBS.

On the women's side, head coach Kevin McGuff and the women's basketball team locked up the No. 3-seed in the Fort Worth 1 Region and will host the first and second round games at the Schottenstein Center. In the first round, Ohio State will take on the No. 14-seed Howard Bison on Saturday morning at 11:30 a.m. (ESPN2) followed by No. 6-seed Notre Dame taking on No. 11-seed Fairfield at 2 p.m. The winners will return to action at the Schottenstein Center on Monday (tipoff time is to be determined) with a spot in the Sweet 16 on the line.

Frozen Four Bound!

No. 1 Women's Hockey Advances to Sixth-Consecutive Frozen Four

For the sixth consecutive season, head coach Nadine Muzerall and the No. 1 women's hockey team have punched their ticket to the NCAA Women's Frozen Four after a dominant 6-1 win over Yale in the Columbus Regional Final. After a back-and-forth first period, the Buckeyes took control with five unanswered goals to break the 1-1 tie and advance to the national semifinals. Forwards Jocelyn Amos (2 goals, 2 assists) and Sloane Matthews (2 goals, 1 assist) led Ohio State's offensive attack with multi-point performances. Between the pipes, goalie Hailey MacLeod picked up her 26th win of the season behind a 22 save performance.

With the win, the Scarlet and Gray will head to Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa., where the Buckeyes will open the semifinal round on Friday against No. 5-seed Northeastern (29-8-1). Puck drop against the Huskies is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET with streaming available on ESPN+. The winner will advance to the National Championship game to face off against either No. 2-seed Wisconsin or No. 3-seed Penn State on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET.
