Developed Here 11 Buckeyes Selected During 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh |
Head coach Ryan Day continues to show why Ohio State has established itself as the premier destination for NFL player development in college football as 11 Buckeyes heard their names called during the 2026 NFL Draft this past weekend in Pittsburgh. Carnell Tate continued Ohio State's impressive run for wideouts becoming the sixth wide receiver in the past five years to be drafted in the first round after being selected fourth overall by the Tennessee Titans.
Following Tate's selection, three members of the Buckeyes' top-rated defensive unit including linebackers Arvell Reese (No. 5, New York Giants) and Sonny Styles (No. 7, Washington Commanders) and safety Caleb Downs (No. 11, Dallas Cowboys) made their walk across the draft stage for the signature hug with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. Ohio State's 11 selections were the most of any school in the country, making it back-to-back seasons the Buckeyes have held the distinction after having 14 student-athletes drafted in 2025.
