Baseball Completes Series Sweep of Michigan on the Road

Head coach Justin Haire and the baseball team closed out the regular season in dominant fashion, completing a three-game sweep of the Wolverines with an 8-1 win in Saturday's series finale. The series victory marked the Buckeyes’ first sweep over Michigan on the road since 1994 and helped boost Ohio State's record to 29-23 overall and 18-12 in Big Ten play. Ohio State jumped out to an early lead behind a three-RBI double from Lee Ellis in the first inning before adding insurance runs in the ninth to seal the rivalry win. On the mound, Chris Domke turned in one of the best performances of his career, tossing the first nine-inning complete game by a Buckeye pitcher in five years while allowing just one run and striking out six.

Ohio State will continue Big Ten Tournament play today as the No. 6-seed Buckeyes will take on the No. 10-seed Rutgers Scarlet Knights at (approx.) 2 p.m. ET at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha. Today's game will be broadcast on Big Ten Network.

Track & Field Captures Two Titles at Big Ten Outdoor Championships

The track and field team wrapped up a strong weekend at the 2026 Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Lincoln, Neb., which was highlighted by a pair of conference titles and several podium finishes. Junior hurdler Braxton Brann continued his breakout season, capturing the Big Ten title in the men’s 110m hurdles with a time of 13.18 before helping the Buckeyes defend their crown in the men’s 4x400m relay alongside Damon Frabotta, Edidiong Udo and Mason Louis.

Ohio State’s men finished fifth overall, their best conference finish since 2022, while the women placed seventh behind standout performances from Janela Spencer, Aniya Mosley and Laila Campbell. Spencer earned runner-up honors in the 100m hurdles, Mosley took third in the 1500m and Campbell added top-four finishes in both the 100m and 200m sprints. Later this month, the Buckeyes will head to Lexington, Ky., as qualifying athletes prepare to compete in the NCAA East Preliminary Round.
