Men's Basketball Opens B1G Three-Game Homestand Tonight vs. Washington |
The men's basketball team begins a critical three-game homestand tonight as it hosts the Washington Huskies for an 8:30 p.m. tipoff at the Schottenstein Center. The Buckeyes head into tonight's game following a pair of impressive performances by guards Bruce Thornton and Micah Parrish who recorded 30+ point outings over No. 18 Maryland and Nebraska, respectively. As a whole, Ohio State ranks second in the Big Ten with a 37.6% shooting percentage from beyond the arc, while its defense has been stifling, holding opponents to just 28.8% shooting from three.
The Buckeyes will follow up tonight's game against the Huskies with a rivalry game against Michigan on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. (limited tickets remain!) and a Thursday, Feb. 20 matchup against Northwestern at 6:30 p.m. |

Head coach Ryan Day announced some offseason updates for the Ohio State football program including the date of the Buckeyes' Spring Showcase, presented by Union Home Mortgage, on Saturday, April 12 at Ohio Stadium. Additional information regarding the Spring Showcase including start time, TV broadcast, ticketing information and exclusive fan experiences will be announced at a later date. |

Women's Lacrosse Tops No. 15 Denver in Home Opener |
The women's lacrosse team kicked off its season with a dominant 9-5 win over No. 15 ranked Denver. The Buckeyes took the lead from the jump and never trailed for the remainder of the game. Junior Zoe Coleman led in the goal column with a career high four goals and goalie Jocelyn Torres made 11 saves on the day. Up next, the Buckeyes will host the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.

Wrestling Bounces Back with 27-13 Win at Indiana |
The wrestling Buckeyes rallied from a 9-8 deficit after the first five bouts in order to secure a 27-13 victory over No. 25 Indiana. Jesse Mendez's (141) 19-3 technical fall sparked the Ohio State comeback which was followed up by technical falls by Brandon Cannon (157) and Carson Kharchla (174) in addition to Ryder Rogotzke's (184) pin in just 59 seconds of the final bout of the day. The No. 8 Buckeyes return to the Covelli Center on Friday for their regular season finale against No. 1 Penn State.

No. 2 Women's Hockey Sweeps St. Thomas |
The women's hockey team completed the weekend and season sweep of St. Thomas with a dominant 5-1 win over the Tommies on Sunday afternoon. Six Buckeyes recorded multi-point games while sophomore Jocelyn Amos and graduate Kiara Zanon tallied a goal and two assists each for a team-high three points on the day. Junior goalie Hailey MacLeod picked up the win for Ohio State with six saves. The Buckeyes will close out the regular season next weekend when they host No. 11 St. Cloud State.

No. 4 Men's Tennis Downs Texas A&M & Baylor |
The men's tennis team continued its difficult non-conference schedule with a 2-0 weekend with wins over No. 14 Texas A&M (4-2) and Baylor (4-1). Despite losing the doubles point in both matches, the Buckeyes dominated in singles with strong performances from junior Jack Anthrop, sophomore Aidan Kim and senior Chris Li. Ohio State improved to 7-1 on the season and will look to defend its national championship this weekend at the ITA Indoor Team National Championship in Waco, Texas.

Men's Gymnastics Wins B1G Dual vs. Penn State |
The men's gymnastics opened conference competition over the weekend with a season-high score in its 325.000-323.850 victory over No. 6 Penn State. The Buckeyes posted the highest team scores of the meet on floor (54.900), rings (54.550) and high bar (53.800) with senior Kameron Nelson leading the way with event titles on floor (14.150) and vault (14.350). Ohio State will enjoy a bye week from competition before sending seven gymnasts to the Winter Cup in Louisville on Feb. 21 and 23.

No. 15 Men's Volleyball Sweeps Purdue Fort Wayne |
Men's volleyball picked up its first MIVA road win of the season Monday night after defeating Purdue Fort Wayne in three straight sets (25-19, 26-24, 25-21). Junior Shane Wetzel recorded an impressive stat line on the night tallying a team-high 13 kills while adding five digs, four aces and three assists. Freshman Daniel Henwood Rodriguez helped orchestrate the Buckeye offense with 26 assists to lead both teams.

No. 8 Men's Hockey Picks Up Road Sweep at Notre Dame, Hosts Wisconsin
|
The men's hockey team picked up its fourth conference series sweep of its 2024-25 campaign after picking up a pair of 5-1 victories on the road at Notre Dame. A trio of Buckeyes in junior Davis Burnside and sophomores Riley Thompson and Ryan Gordon led the way for the Ohio State offense recording a pair of goals each throughout the series. Senior goalie Logan Terness had a strong series between the pipes, recording 68 saves on the weekend and picking up both wins for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State, now 18-8-2 overall and 11-6-1 in Big Ten play, returns home this weekend for a Valentine's Day series against the Wisconsin Badgers. Friday night's puck drop is set for 7 p.m. while the action on Saturday is set for 8:30 p.m. |
