Purdue Derailed! Ohio State Defeates No. 8 Purdue 82-74

Head coach Jake Diebler and the Ohio State men's basketball team earned its signature win on the season knocking off No. 8 Purdue by a score of 82-74 and improving its record to 18-11 overall and 10-8 in Big Ten play. The Buckeyes were led by sophomore guard John Mobley Jr. who recorded a game-high 21 points, knocking down five three-pointers and delivering a team-high three assists.
Senior guard Bruce Thornton contributed with 20 points of his own along with three three-pointers in order to move within just 29 points from becoming Ohio State's all-time leading scorer. Forwards Amare Bynum and Devin Royal added 14 and 12 points, respectively, and combined for 14 rebounds, helping anchor the Scarlet and Gray's interior presence throughout the game.
