No. 1 Seed Buckeyes are Frozen Four Bound |
For the sixth consecutive season, your Ohio State women's hockey team is headed to the Frozen Four! The No. 1 seed Buckeyes defeated the Yale Bulldogs tonight in the Columbus Regional Final by a score of 6-1 to claim the regional title and advance to the 2026 NCAA Women's Frozen Four. Forwards Jocelyn Amos (2 goals, 2 assists) and Sloane Matthews (2 goals, 1 assist) led Ohio State's offensive attack with multi-point performances. Between the pipes, goalie Hailey MacLeod picked up her 26th win of the season behind a 22 save performance. With tonight's win, the Buckeyes will close out their 2025-26 home schedule with a record of 17-2-0.

The 2026 NCAA Women's Frozen Four will be held at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa., and will feature No. 1 Ohio State, No. 2 Wisconsin, No. 3 Penn State and No. 5 Northeastern. The Buckeyes will open the semifinal round against the Northeastern Huskies (29-8-1) on Friday, March 20 at 4 p.m. ET with the winner advancing to the National Championship on Sunday, March 22 at 4 p.m. ET.
