Explora Expeditions are nomadic, point-to-point journeys in small groups, with select departures, accommodations, and expert guides. With three expeditions already running across three distinct destinations, this year Explora adds a fourth, returning to one of them in a season unlike any before.
This winter, Explora reaches Iceland: a seven-day expedition across frozen tundras and volcanic snowfields, with an itinerary no other full-service operator offers. Walk between tectonic plates at Þingvellir, traversing the Golden Circle in its quieter season. Hike to Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier. Snowmobile to a frozen summit in Þórsmörk, and explore the black-sand beaches of Reynisfjara, with extraordinary probabilities of catching the northern lights. A season that seems extreme, now made approachable, with routes and rhythms adapted to every traveler in the group.
