Introducing Rock On!

First presented during 3daysofdesign, the Rock On! collection of ceramic wall hangings are now live.

Created from earthenware and charcoal crayon, each piece plays with Hooff's own insecurities, expressed through black humour hand-on form giving.

Each piece is unique, crafted by hand by the Dutch artist and designer Willem Van Hooff.

Rock On! stemmed from Willem van Hooff's own creation of a urinal and hand-dryer for his studio space in Eindhoven - taking his "toilet humour" into the home through small earthenware wall hangings.

The collection is a continuation of Hooff communicating his own insecurities and imperfections through his objects. Whilst working mainly with ceramics, throughout the years he has written and told stories in many other materials
- a form of tattoo-ing his own creations.

Willem van Hooff is a Dutch artist and designer based in Eindhoven. Through his work he explores his fascination with objects that hold written or carved stories within them - a fascination stemming from peoples need to leave a mark and what it can add to an object.
