In recent years, lipid nanoparticles have emerged as an effective delivery vehicle for modern therapeutics like mRNA-based vaccines. These capsules can slip inside cells with remarkable ease, protecting fragile genetic instructions along the way. Now, researchers in bioengineer Michael Mitchell’s lab are refining these molecular delivery trucks, publishing advances that move precision medicine closer to reality.
