Colleges and universities are one of America’s most “enduring public goods,” President J. Larry Jameson (center) said in launching the conversation led by Graduate School of Education Dean Katharine Strunk (second from right) and a panel of former university presidents and deans. The discussion was the first in a new series of events due to take place this fall which will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

De la Fuente described the moment as an opportunity “to think outside the box.”

This program features an evening of live performances, sound, and moving images. The evening will begin in the Gordon Gallery in Weitzman Hall at 4 p.m. featuring work by Sol Kim, Dylan Li, and Jingyi Ling. Then at 4:45 p.m., there will be an organ performance by Ambika Trasi, a listening session by Cacie Rosario Jackson, and a screening of Noa Mori Machover’s film “After Market” at the Arthur Ross Gallery. Refreshments will be provided. Register to attend.
