Don't miss the free outdoor carillon concerts this summer!

Princeton University's annual Summer Annual Carillon Concert Series takes place on Sundays at 1:00 PM at the Graduate School. 

The Carillon is a musical instrument of 23 or more bells that when sounded produce music. Carillon bells are hung stationary with only the clapper moving against the lip of the bell. It is manually played from a console with both fists and feet activating batons and pedals attached to the clappers through mechanical linkage. There is no electronic assistance to ring the bells.

Bring your own blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the music from the Graduate School Lawn. The Graduate School is located at 88 College Road West in Princeton. Concerts are rain or shine.

Staying Local, Leading Change: Garden State Fellows Make a Mark in New Jersey Policy

After graduating from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, many students land in far-flung places, launching careers in public policy all over the globe. But some are finding that staying put right here in the Garden State offers them exposure to some of the most pressing policy matters of the moment and a chance to impact local communities.

As sweeping cuts at the federal level shifted the locus of policy action to the state and local level this year, the inaugural cohort of Garden State Fellows found opportunities to conduct research, lobby policymakers on behalf of immigrant communities, develop campaigns on civil rights, and advance efforts to increase affordable and sustainable housing in the state.

Princeton-based library storage solution expands reach making materials accessible for future generations

Yale University is the latest institution to join ReCAP, the Research Collections and Preservation Consortium, located at the Forrestal Center. ReCAP is a jointly owned non-profit organization that preserves and shares collections of its members libraries. Yale joins Columbia University, Harvard University, New York Public Library, and Princeton University in the consortium, which shares 18.5 million items including books, maps, audio recordings, and DVDs .

Civil and respectful dialogue on difficult topics: A bedrock Princeton commitment

Princeton’s research and teaching mission rests on a bedrock commitment to free expression, where thoughtful people of all backgrounds voice their opinions in civil discussion. 

As University President Christopher L. Eisgruber emphasized in his 2025 State of the University letter, “ours must be a community where all members can speak their mind and where they engage in civil and respectful dialogue, even on — indeed, especially on — difficult topics.” 

This value plays out every day across campus — around seminar tables during class and around dining tables at dinner, among the most senior faculty over afternoon tea and incoming students during Orientation, just to name a few. The University collects and reports data to hold itself accountable in fostering respectful dialogue across differences.

The Catholicon, whose colophon states that it was printed in Mainz, 1460, has been the subject of controversy for more than fifty years. Paul Needham presents newly discovered evidence that counters many of the theses about when and how it was printed.

This year's selection of outdoor film screenings features three films noted for their representations of nature; inspired by the exhibition Léni Paquet-Morante: Extract/Abstract, on view at Art@Bainbridge from July 19 through November 9.

PUAM will screen Moonrise Kingdom (2012) on July 31. Arrive by 8:00 PM and bring a blanket or chair— PUAM will provide the popcorn! Screenings begin at sunset.
