On Monday, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in the town of Biddeford, Maine, shot into a car and killed the driver, a man named Joan Sebastian Guerrero.

This happened just six days after ICE killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston, Texas.

Here’s some of what has been reported so far about the killing of Mr. Guerrero (with details still emerging):
As with the shooting in Texas, Mr. Guerrero was not the person ICE was actually looking for. (Which is not to say that shooting him would have been OK if he had been who they were looking for.)

As with the shooting in Texas, federal officials are saying that Mr. Guerrero “weaponized his vehicle.” Of course, it remains to be seen if that is even remotely true or if it is a lie (as it was in the case of the killing of Renee Good earlier this year in Minneapolis).

As with the shooting in Texas, the ICE agents in Maine were not wearing body cameras, and federal authorities have released precisely zero video footage related to the shooting.

Federal agents carrying out the Trump regime’s campaign of terror against immigrants have shot at least 22 people (that we know of) since Trump returned to power.

This is barbaric. It is evil. And it has to stop.
