Have you been told it's genetic? That your grandmother, your mother, and you have the same foot problems because "it runs in the family"?

It's an easy mental trap.

In Sri Lanka, we found the answer. The same genetic population – completely different results depending on lifestyle.

Two concrete examples:

Three brothers: Two live barefoot. They have healthy, strong feet and straight toes. Can squat without problems. The third works at a bank. Tight dress shoes every day. He has foot pain, collapsed arches, and can no longer squat.

Three sisters: The two youngest have perfect feet, just like mom and dad. The oldest has severe bunions. Why? She's the only one who wears Western shoes – the family invested in her education, and school requires shoes.

Same genetics. Different shoes. Completely different results.

We have thousands of pieces of evidence by now: you are not a victim of your genes when it comes to foot health.

"I've searched for wide shoes for years – my mom, grandmother, and I have always had 'impossible feet.' Now I know it was the shoes, not the genes." – Kerstin R.
