The Sacramento Kings added two players in the first round of the 2026 NBA Draft.
With the No. 7 overall pick, Sacramento selected Darius Acuff Jr. out of the University of Arkansas. Acuff became just the third player in SEC history to earn both Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors in the same season.
Later in the evening, the Kings traded into the first round to acquire the draft rights to forward Alex Karaban from UConn. Karaban helped lead the Huskies to two national championships and leaves the program as its all-time leader in three-pointers made, minutes played and wins.
The 2nd Round of the NBA Draft resumes tonight at 5 PM, where the Kings currently own pick No. 45.
