77% of Managers Are Saving Hours with AI. So Why Are Half of Them Still Anxious? | |
A Salesforce survey of more than 500 middle managers found that two-thirds are optimistic about the role of AI in the future of work. Great! And the productivity gains are real: 77% say they save more than three hours per week with AI tools. Even better! These are eager practitioners who have found footing with AI.
However. Seventy-eight percent of managers say they feel personally responsible for ensuring their teams successfully adopt AI, and just over half report feeling anxious about keeping pace with the technology on their own.
They have been put in a bind. Organizations have designated managers as AI adoption leaders without always ensuring those leaders have the tools, training, or direction to deliver on that mandate. Nearly half feel pressure from leadership to demonstrate AI adoption, even though only 32% work in organizations with formal AI tracking. They are being held accountable for outcomes they cannot yet measure.
What managers say they need is specific and practical:
-
Hands-on training (37%)
-
A clear organizational AI strategy (35%)
-
IT and technical support (34%)
The findings align with Salesforce’s investment in what it calls Agentic Managers — leaders equipped to redesign how work gets done alongside AI, not just use it individually. That investment includes Slack-first manager coaching; hands-on AI workshops; and Manager Agent, an AI-powered partner that handles the administrative overhead of people management, from performance evaluations to survey analysis. In its first year, Manager Agent saved managers more than 57,000 hours. The point isn't to automate the manager's job. It's to give managers the time back to do it.
By giving managers the practical enablement tools they need today, businesses won't just alleviate the pressure of an evolving role — they will unlock the full, transformative potential of their entire workforce.

Salesforce is expanding its model cards with standardized environmental metrics, giving customers visibility into the energy consumption and carbon emissions associated with AI models across their full lifecycle.

How 'Bobbi' Is Transforming the Way People Interact with Law Enforcement |
Before Bobbi launched, roughly 400,000 calls a year to two UK police forces were people asking a single question: What's happening with my case? Since November 2025, Bobbi, an AI-powered digital assistant, has been handling roughly 200 nonemergency conversations a day, resolving 45% without human intervention and saving an estimated 3,290 operational hours.
Bobbi enables people to come forward in a way that works best for them, helping to build trust, improve accessibility, and reach people who otherwise might not have reached out at all.

As AI Agents Transform Commerce, Salesforce Unleashes Its Biggest Agentforce Commerce Release Yet |
“Referral traffic to brand sites will be hugely influenced by AI platforms — Gemini, ChatGPT, Anthropic — and social apps like Instagram and TikTok. But commerce itself will happen predominantly on owned and operated properties: your website, your app, your messaging channels, your stores. The brands that win will have their Shopper Agent live on their own properties for the 2026 shopping season.” — Nitin Mangtani, EVP & GM, Agentforce Commerce
