While the federal government moves environmental policy backwards, we're stepping up in the courts to reduce pollution and protect our communities.

This January, a judge ruled in our favor after a coalition, including EDF, sued the Trump administration for cancelling grants that fund clean energy projects. This rapid response litigation unlocked $27.6 million in grants for our partners in the lawsuit and forged a directly binding precedent for all 314 grant awards unlawfully canceled — $7.6 billion in 16 states.

We have courts to provide checks and balances. With the law on our side, we can win — but only if we have the resources to tackle ongoing challenges, both in the short term and as legal battles continue. And there’s no time to waste.
