Our public lands belong to all of us. Take action together to protect them!
Our public lands belong to all of us. These are the forests you hiked as a kid. The river your family fishes every summer. The national monument you visited with friends on vacation. These irreplaceable landscapes and waters are under attack by corrupt politicians who want to sell them off to the highest bidder, one backroom deal at a time.
Over the past months, we've watched the Trump administration attempt to sell off, lease out, and strip protections from more than a million acres of protected landscapes. We've seen bedrock environmental laws rolled back. We've seen Congress introduce bill after bill to hand our forests, mountains, and coastlines to greedy billionaires and the corporate polluters who bankroll their campaigns.
Again and again, Sierra Club supporters like you have stepped up -- flooding congressional phone lines, showing up to hearings, writing letters, and making it impossible for lawmakers to look the other way.
That pressure has already stopped some of the worst attacks on our public lands. Our advocacy is working. But we can't stop now.
Can't make it live? No problem. RSVP anyway, and we'll send you the recording along with instructions so you can take action at your convenience.
During our action hour together, we'll:
Get the scoop: Hear from Sierra Club's Executive Director Loren Blackford about what's happening and how we can effectively fight back to protect our lands and waters.
Take action: Learn why we're calling our members of Congress, how to call effectively, and watch a live preview so you know exactly what to say. Then, we’ll make our calls together.
Connect and grow: During our short breakout session, learn from other advocates from around the country, and discuss how we can strengthen our movement. Because the more of us who show up, the harder we are to ignore!
In each Sierra Club Action Hour, you'll get the latest updates on Trump's destructive agenda and how you can take meaningful action against it. These interactive meetings take place virtually, so you can join from wherever you live or work alongside hundreds of other Sierra Club advocates.
WHAT: Action Hour to protect public lands WHERE:Online -- join from wherever you are! WHEN: Wednesday, July 29, at 4 pm PT/ 7 pm ET
