The St. Louis Cardinals completed the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft presented by Nippon Express this weekend, selecting 23 players total over the two-day event. Headlined by 1st Round pick, outfielder Trevor Condon from Etowah (Ga.) High School (#13 overall pick), St. Louis selected 21 collegiate players and two high school prep players in this year's draft.
Condon, 18, helped lead the Etowah Eagles (33-7) to the Georgia Class 6A State Championship and was named 2025-26 Gatorade Georgia State Player of the Year. The 5'11", 178 pound senior batted .504 with nine homers, 42 RBI, 17 doubles and 15 stolen bases through 36 games.
The selected players hail from 12 different states, including six from California, four from Texas and two each from Alabama, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. The Cardinals selections by position included 12 pitchers, six outfielders, four infielders, and one catcher. |
