Today, people all over the world are pausing to think about the ocean, what it provides, and what we owe it. But here's the thing — Surfrider supporters don't just reflect. You act.

This year's theme is "Reimagine." With that, let’s examine our relationship with the ocean, and envision what it means to be a steward instead of just a user of it.

From cleanups, to water quality tests, to removing invasive species, our community stands up for our ocean, waves, and beaches all year long.

This year, we have already:

Removed more than 31,100 pounds of trash from U.S. beaches and coastlines
Conducted 4,050 water quality tests through our Blue Water Task Force
Won 22 policy victories protecting coastal access and clean water
Mobilized over 24,000 volunteers across 80 cleanups nationwide
