Thirty years ago, when Laura was 31, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was the third generation in her family to receive a diagnosis.
Laura's treatment was aggressive and included a bilateral mastectomy and chemotherapy. Even now, she's grateful for the support system she had in place. "My mother-in-law helped with our daughter, a group of ladies took me to chemo and my husband kept my spirits high," Laura said.
