A record-breaking weekend in the San Juan Mountains

On Friday, July 10, Suunto athletes Courtney Dauwalter and Tara Dower took on the legendary Hardrock 100. 
Throughout the race, both athletes relied heavily on their Suunto watches for pace, timing, and navigation.

After 101.8 miles through Colorado’s rugged San Juan Mountains, Courtney claimed victory in 26:03:10, setting the fastest women’s clockwise time in Hardrock history and the second-fastest women’s time ever, regardless of direction. She led from gun to tape.

Tara also delivered an outstanding performance, finishing third in 33:02:04, just 13 days after finishing sixth at the Western States 100-Mile Endurance Run™. Returning after a fourth-place finish in 2024, she stepped onto the Hardrock podium in her second attempt.  
Together, the two podium finishes marked a standout weekend for Team Suunto, showcasing exceptional preparation, resilience, and performance on one of the sport’s toughest courses.
