The new third kit will debut on the pitch this Sunday afternoon when our Sydney FC’s Men face Macarthur FC at Leichhardt Oval, at 3:00pm.
Sydney FC Captain Rhyan Grant said the Jacaranda kit captures the essence of Sydney and will stand out as one of the most eye-catching designs in the club’s history.
“It’s a really unique look — something totally different that I think will get a lot of attention,” Grant said.
“It genuinely feels like it represents Sydney in spring and I’ll be proud to wear it this weekend at home to Macarthur.
“I think our fans are going to love seeing it out on the pitch.”
Our Women’s team will wear the kit for the first time one week later, on Saturday 15th November, when they face Perth Glory, at 2:45pm at Leichhardt Oval.
Sydney FC Women’s Captain Natalie Tobin agreed, saying the new design is unlike anything the Sky Blues have worn before.
“It’s really cool — we’ve never had anything like this before,” Tobin said.
“It’s so different to what we’ve worn in the past, and I think it’s going to look amazing out on the field.
“The colours really stand out and it definitely feels like something special for this season.”
