It is called "milk glass" because of its milky white appearance.The appeal of milk glass lies in its soft translucency and its ability to look different depending on the light.
Production of milk glass was popular in the United States, but due to its inefficient production method, it is no longer made in the country. Despite this, milk glass remains a popular material for collectors and those who appreciate unique appearance and durable glassware. Today, Milk Glass is handmade by highly skilled craftsmen in Japan.
