When it comes to government shutdowns, Americans tend to blame the party they think instigated the standoff. Currently the Republicans are accusing the Democrats of holding federal services hostage. Yet so far the Democrats are not paying any political price. In fact, early polls suggest that they may have gained a slight edge in the messaging battle.
Meanwhile, Argentina’s president, Javier Milei, is attempting to invigorate his party ahead of mid-term elections on October 26th. But he is having a tough go of it.
