Whatever you think of Zohran Mamdani, the leftist who is likely to be elected New York’s mayor on November 4th, his victory would make for fascinating political theatre. Donald Trump is hostile to almost everything Mr Mamdani stands for—and is bound to show it. I’m sure it will all turn out fine.
In other news, Javier Milei is celebrating a big win in Argentina’s legislative midterms. His success shows the power of tough-but-coherent economic messages that are proclaimed with clarity and conviction.
