Google wasn’t first to make a splash with generative artificial intelligence (that was OpenAI), and it doesn’t put on the slickest events in Silicon Valley (still Apple). But it is still both big and innovative enough to grab terrain from its rivals, and is becoming the leader in the market for consumer AI.
