Last Tuesday, we ran our first Content Lab hot seat coaching session with Chris.
Six members brought published content. Chris dissected each piece over 90 minutes. Everyone watching learned from every critique.
Here's what went down:
Chris focused on clarity above everything else. Not cleverness. Not viral potential. Clarity.He showed how to direct attention through structure. Where most content loses people is in the setup: rambling hooks, buried points, too many ideas fighting for space.
The pattern across all six critiques: authentic angles were hiding under layers of "professionalism."
Once Chris stripped away the performance, the real voice emerged. Stronger. Clearer. Actually memorable.
Specific fixes members got:
- How to sequence ideas so people actually follow along
- Where to cut text and replace with concrete examples
- Why their best material felt "too personal" to share (it wasn't)
- How to structure posts so the main point lands in the first read
