| | Europe for the price of a cup of coffee | | by Ben Smithson, Senior writer | | | If you thought it was too late to book a vacation to Europe this summer in lie-flat comfort, this is your sign to book the trip.
Right now, Delta is pricing Delta One business-class awards to Europe at just 115,000 SkyMiles one-way on thousands of flights across July, August and September.
That’s remarkable because these same seats often cost 400,000+ SkyMiles — or equally jaw-dropping cash rates — during peak summer travel.
Better yet, you’ll pay just $5.60 in taxes and fees. (Can you even get a cup of airport coffee for that price these days?)
That’s incredible, given the surcharge increases we’ve seen across the industry this year.
How good is this availability? It’s not just on the shorter hops from the northeast to Western Europe where you might only get a few hours of sleep in between meals. Right now I’m also seeing: - Atlanta to Venice
- Seattle to Barcelona
- San Francisco to London
- Austin to Milan
- Los Angeles to Paris
- Detroit to Rome
- Miami to Madrid
As someone who has spent years analyzing transatlantic award pricing, take it from me that this is the lowest Delta One pricing I have seen in a long time, and the super-low taxes and fees are just the cherry on top of your inflight sundae.
Check your SkyMiles balance, or your Amex Membership Rewards (which transfer to SkyMiles at a 1:1 rate), then get searching! The awesome Seats.aero tool is a great way to see these thousands of seats in one place — and you can filter by route, dates and price.
If you want to know more about this deal and how to book it, here’s where I’ve broken it all down for you.
