Good morning, Andy!
In 1999, Princess Inyang Okokon, a small restaurant owner from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, arrived in Turin, Italy, at 24, having been promised work as a chef. Within days, she understood what the promise actually meant. She reported her trafficker, testified in court, and went on to build an organization that has since rescued hundreds of women from the same system.
Maurizio Bongioanni tells her story in full. Read it here.
